Hi Claudio,

For me, the version number is always the same for a given commit regardless of what config it was packaged up with etc. So the beta app would be 1.2.0 and the live app would also be 1.2.0.

The app stores have a concept of a Marketing version number, which you can set independently to your actual baked-in version number, so that’s what you would set to 1.0.0 for release.

So then you don’t hot fix, you just release the next version of the app, with whatever version that has, and increment the marketing version number accordingly.

It’s complicated to explain but fairly straightforward in practice, hopefully that helps.
